Other than a slight overall resemblance as 4-door hatchbacks, I’d argue that the cars have nothing in common. The Golf is a better-built, higher quality, more fun to drive vehicle by comparison in all trims — let alone comparing this to the GTI which has basically twice as much power as the wheezing Kia.

9 hp and $7k less (MSRP) similarly equipped. Hard to argue those numbers.

Thank God I am A-plan for Ford so I can just get the FoST for $20k (base) or $25k (402A)
